Canterbury Travel's day trips, short breaks and Christmas holidays to Finnish Lapland are filling up for 2008 winter season.
Thursday 24th April
Ever popular are the romantic log cabins, above the Arctic Circle with an increasing number of enquiries for weddings and honeymoons in this special, snowy, wilderness setting.

All tours involve a special meeting with Santa Claus, reindeer rides, husky rides and snowmobiling as well as a host of other winter activities according to the itinerary for your chosen tour.
Santa's Elves are busy planning a mid summers party for Santa and Mrs Claus.
Wednesday 23th April
They are always so busy at Christmas time that they don't have time for a Christmas party! There will be a fun day of activity, a Reindeer Ride Race, a Skidoo Slalom Challenge and a Husky Speed Competition
In the evening a roaring camp fire will be lit and there will be plenty of sausages and berry juice to go around.
Speedy Sam and Snowy Bowy are in charge of the entertainment and Tricky Dicky and Noisy Nod will arrange the fireworks at midnight.
Santa's Elves will be taking his sleigh to the toy workshop next week.
Tuesday 22th April
It needs a good service and the Elves are the best people to do this! They have lots of special tools for making the toys that can be used to tighten up the nuts and bolts on the sleigh and the wonderful toy paint that they use, is lovely and shiny to give the sleigh a super new coat of paint.

Santa has asked the Elves to give him a nice surprise with the colours this time but Mrs Claus has reminded the elves not to play any tricks and paint the sleigh pink!! Santa wouldn't be pleased!
Once the sleigh is ready it will be stored in the garage adjacent to Santa's log cabin home, deep in the fells of Lapland. Santa and Mrs Claus will take it out in October for a test drive with the reindeer and then Santa and the Elves will fine tune the sleigh, ready for their busy Christmas activities around the world.
